The Mother Country

Shady Canyon, Irvine, CA

Designed by renowned architect Richard Krantz, this 17,660 sq. ft. estate rests on the largest lot in the prestigious Shady Canyon community. Featuring Romanesque stone walls, reclaimed Tuscan terra cotta, and a 35-foot operational bell tower, the home is a masterpiece of timeless design and innovation. Cantara delivered an extraordinary scope, including fully custom speakers that seamlessly integrate with the interior and exterior stonework, a large-scale landscape audio system, and a CEDIA award-winning theater. Whole-home automation ties together all subsystems, including lighting, climate, and an innovative pool heated by waste HVAC output. Even the estate's iconic bell tower is automated, marrying tradition with cutting-edge technology.
